Good Things Come in Little Packages

Little Shoots is the newest of the YMCA nurseries, having opened its doors for business in September 2010. It is very much a sister nursery of Green Shoots in Trowbridge, managed by June Jessop, who previously worked at worked at Green Shoots as Deputy Manager. Daily activities are based on the new Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum - enhanced by great staff and a high standard of resources and equipment.

After an initial visit to Trowbridge Early Years with Sure Start’s Gill Hanlan, plans were put in place to meet a pressing deadline with creative furniture and purposeful storage.

Space was of optimum concern and each room had its own look and feel, so there was a bespoke strategy for the various areas.

Meeting the budget of £12,000 eibe supplied a contemporary looking nursery, bursting full of natural products that offer the children the ideal work and play space.

   

June Jessop commented, “The Children love the woodworking bench. They use the tools independently and really enjoy being creative with materials. The storage works well, it is sturdy and mobile. We move the furniture around and it is very flexible.”
